Activate a KinTag: add your contact details

For families, it starts with a contact number.

  1. 01

    Receive a tag.

Pick up a KinTag at the event and attach it to a bag or clothing.

  2. 02

    Add a contact.

A parent follows the activation steps and adds the contact number they want someone to reach.

  3. 03

    Tap if help is needed.

Someone who finds the separated child can tap the activated tag with a phone to open the contact page.

Staying in touch is a separate choice.

Parents can also choose to hear from the organization or sponsor. They can use the safety feature without accepting either invitation.

The practical questions.

Where do we hand out the tags?

At an agreed table, gate or guest-services point staffed by your team. We plan the distribution location with your organization before the event.

What does our team need to do?

Choose the event and distribution point, identify staff or volunteers, and approve your branding and any invitation. On the day, your team hands out tags and helps families get started.

How do families activate them?

Free to receive. A parent adds an emergency contact to activate it. They tap the tag with a phone and follow the activation steps.

What happens when someone finds a separated child?

Staff, security or another adult can tap the activated tag with a phone to find the parent’s contact number. No app or account is needed to view it.

What information appears when a tag is tapped?

The emergency contact number added by the parent appears on the activated tag’s contact page.

Can families decline marketing?

Yes. Adding an emergency contact and choosing to hear from the organization or sponsor are separate steps. Families can use the safety feature without accepting either invitation.

How is sponsorship arranged?

We agree the sponsorship before your event goes ahead, along with the tag design, setup and who handles what.

Let’s work out where it fits.
